What is Palm Reading?

What Do the Lines on Your Palm Mean? Part 2

Palm reading is a system of divination believed to have originated in India and spread around the world from there. Palm readers look at your palm, it’s lines, the shapes of the hands , fingers, and fingernails, and these details give information to the reader. They can tell you what your finances will be like, what kinds of success you will have, types of careers you will excel in, and even things about your health. Your personality will show up in a palm reading, and so will major events that will come about in your life. Another form of divination is Tarot Reading and you can read card interpretations here: A Quick Guide to Tarot Cards and their Meanings (spiritualblossom.com)

Why Read Palms?

Why would you get a palm reading, and why would you consult your palms for answers instead of getting something like a card reading? While there isn’t any one perfect form of divination that is better than all the others, palm reading looks at just you. Some people think palm reading is the purest form of divination because the only thing consulted is your hand. Furthermore, the palm is thought of by some people as a map of your life and your future. If you ask a specific question, a palm reading might not give the answer, but on your palm, there are details about your health, outlook of life, relationships, wealth, and career. You can find out about becoming a parent, and even details about romance partners will show up on your palm. When you are going through difficult times, you might need a card reading, though, and you can read about that here: Tarot Readings for Bad Times (spiritualblossom.com)

Some Minor Lines

Maybe it’s not fair to call some lines “minor” ones because all the lines on your palm give you important information. Some people just care about finding out what the major lines, or the Heart Line, Head Line, Life, and Destiny Line have to say. Some people say the Sun Line is also a major line- and that everything else is a “minor” line. Keep in mind that not everybody has all of these lines, and we will find out later why that is. Check for all ten of the minor lines listed here to see which you have and what they tell you.

Ring of Mercury

What Do the Lines on Your Palm Mean? Part 2

The Ring of Mercury is a line that loops around the base of the pinky finger. This is a line you might or might not have. If you have it, that means you are especially vivacious in your sex life. Typically, people with the Ring of Mercury take many lovers and do not suffer from sexual inhibitions. It is also believed the Ring of Mercury weakens the traits of the planet Mercury, which rules communication, writing, speech, and reasoning. These people might be impulsive, especially sexually, and they might struggle in school. Reading and writing classes can prove to be especially challenging. One sign known for being very in touch with their sexuality is Aries and you can read about them here: Aries Zodiac Traits and Love Compatibility (spiritualblossom.com)

Ring of Saturn

The Ring of Saturn is a line that loops around the base of middle finger. Those who have it are constrained by the things Saturn represents. The planet Saturn rules discipline, responsibility, limitations, and the skeletal system as well as old age. They may struggle in their career because they abhor taking on a lot of responsibility, and they might even prefer solitude to the company of others. A deep Ring of Saturn indicates you are highly intelligent but prefer to keep opinions to yourself. A forked Ring of Saturn can indicate eccentricity and self-isolation. These people may prefer work from home positions or jobs where they have lots of autonomy. Saturn also rules Capricorn and you can read about them here: Capricorn Zodiac Traits and Love Compatibility (spiritualblossom.com)

Ring of Solomon or Ring of Jupiter

While the Rings of Saturn and Mercury don’t always have good news, this ring usually does. The Ring of Solomon, also called the Ring of Jupiter is beneath the index finger and if you have this, your psychic and mystical abilities are quite powerful. If the line is strong, you are especially intelligent and if you have two Rings of Solomon, you are especially lucky in life. If this is a straight line instead of a circular shape, it means you are very intelligent and gifted in the arts. The planet Jupiter rules Sagittarius, and you can read about them here: Sagittarius Traits and Love Compatibility (spiritualblossom.com)

Ring of Apollo

The Ring of Apollo is a line that loops around the base of the ring finger. It is also called the Ring of the Sun. The Sun rules success and power, and having this ring constrains those traits. If you have this line, it indicates you will have an ordinary life. It indicates repressed creativity and that you may have repeated frustrations in trying to be successful. However, hard work and never giving up despite setbacks will ensure you overcome these obstacles and succeed in life. Leo is ruled by the Sun and you can read about them here: Leo Traits and Love Compatibility (spiritualblossom.com)

Bracelet or Racette Lines

What Do the Lines on Your Palm Mean? Part 2

These lines are also called Wrist Lines and are lines where the wrist joins the palm. Many people have three of these lines, but a fourth bracelet line indicates especially good luck throughout life. If the first bracelet line, closest to the palm is deep and strong, it means good health, but if it is chained or broken, health can be bad. If the middle chain is strong, it indicates good finances, but chains and breaks indicate financial struggles. If the third chain is strong, it means you will be highly regarded by your peers and community but breaks or chains in the line means that people might not always regard you highly. Hard work toward being a better version of yourself can improve any circumstances you struggle with, though, so don’t worry. Passion Lines

The Passion Line slants from the base of the pinky finger or from the space between the pinky and fourth finger and runs towards the Heart Line. It indicates someone with an especially intense sense of eroticism. Some people assume people with this line are obsessed with sex, but that’s not fair. They are just especially sensual people, and sometimes this line indicates that the individual is passionate about the arts, and not so much sex. One sign that is passionate about beauty is Libra and you can read about them here: Libra Traits and Love Compatibility (spiritualblossom.com)

Healing Lines

These are three to five vertical lines under the pinky finger that don’t reach to the pinky or the Heart Line. Also called Stigmata Lines, they indicate the person is especially caring and is good at being reassuring. If there are more than five of these lines, it means the individual is an especially good communicator who excels in business dealings. One sign known as a great communicator is Gemini and you can read about them here: Gemini Zodiac Traits and Love Compatibility (spiritualblossom.com)

Intuition Lines

This line is not one everyone has, and it runs vertically beneath the pinky finger, on the opposite side of the center of the palm from the Life Line. It indicates someone whose psychic intuition is powerful. The stronger the line, the more powerful the intuition. If it has feathered shapes or breaks in it, that can indicate a less powerful sense of intuition, but intuition is still present. Pisces is considered one of the most intuitive signs and you can read about them here: Pisces Zodiac Traits and Love Compatibility (spiritualblossom.com)

Simian Lines

What Do the Lines on Your Palm Mean? Part 2

A Simian Line is very rare and is seen when the Heart Line and Head Line joins. Having this line means you will acquire a great amount of wealth and have great influence over others in life. These people have high IQ’s, make good decisions, are confident and charming. They can also be impatient, but they know you have to take risks to get good results. The meaning of the Angel Number 333 will especially appeal to people with a Simian Line and you can read about it here: What is the Meaning of the 333 Angel Number? (spiritualblossom.com)

Children Lines

Children Lines are directly under the pinky finger and run vertically, almost on the edge of the hand. They show how many kids you will have, and this indicates kids that are blood kin as well as adopted children. These lines are not as bold as some other lines, but strong children lines indicate healthy kids and faint lines indicate sensitive kids who might be female. One animal that represents motherhood is the bear and you can read about it here: What Do Bears Mean Spiritually? (spiritualblossom.com)

Why Doesn’t Everybody Have All the Lines?

There are multiple reasons people have different palm lines, and some people don’t have certain lines at all. The main reason is because the palm lines tell the story if our lives, and each of us has a different life story. A line will be stronger or completely absent based on the truths of your life. Softer hands also show lines differently than hands that are not as soft will. In other words, sometimes, tougher hands won’t have as many fine lines as the softer ones will. Some people also believe that your genetics play a role in this. If you and several family members have exactly the same hand shape, it’s because of who you were born to. Still, your palm lines are yours, and no one else’s, so, if a line is absent, that is an answer about something in your life. Can My Palm Lines Change?

What Do the Lines on Your Palm Mean? Part 2

Believe it or not, they sure can. Wait, aren’t we all born with an exact map of our lives that never changes over time? Well, it is possible for someone to have the same palm lines from birth to death, but for a lot of people, lines appear and disappear over the years. Why is that? Sometimes, the way you use your hands can make some lines become more prominent. A lot of people believe that some of the minor lines appear and disappear based on events in our lives, though, and they stay there until something about our life or path changes. Palm Reading Tips

Here are a few tips to make palm reading easier and more accurate.

1) If your hands are especially dry, reading the lines may be difficult. If hand lotion doesn’t help, run water or oil over your hands to make the lines show up better.

2) Stamp your palm with ink and press it to paper to get another view of your palm. This can also be mailed to a palmist so they can read your palm long distance.

3) Consult multiple palm reading guides to find what makes the most sense to you. If you read multiple guides that tell you different things, test all of the guides to see what feels most accurate.

4) Compare your palm reading to what psychics who use Cards, Runes, pendulums, or other tools have to say. Palmistry is only one kind of divination and won’t tell you everything.

5) When you are in doubt about something your palm reading tells you, get a second opinion. Don’t tell your reader what the initial palm reading said until they do a reading for you and then compare what the readings said.

6) Your dominant hand, or the one you use most is said to provide the most detailed answers, but consult both of your palms anyhow. Some say the dominant hand reflects our personality and life path and the other hand tells you traits you inherited.

7) Don’t quit the first time you read your palm. Keep reading, learning, and checking your palm for more answers. Life will change, and your lines will change with it. Keep your eye on the lines of your palm to find out what comes next on your journey.

Palm reading might not tell you all the same things a Tarot Reading will, but it provides answers literally from the palm of your hand! The major lines tell a lot about your life, but the minor lines do too. You can consult your own palm for answers about your life, your personal path, and events that will come to pass anytime.
