What is Palm Reading?
Palm reading is also called palmistry or chiromancy. While some people read tarot cards, runes, or even faces for divination, palm reading is done with the belief that the physical features of our hands tell us things and provide answers. The History of Palm Reading
The word “chiromancy” for palm reading comes from the Greek language and “ chiro” comes from their word “kheiro” which translates as hand. People all over the ancient world from Mesopotamia to parts of the Middle East, and Asia practiced palm reading. It is believed that palm reading originated in India and spread all over the world from there. Aristotle wrote about palm reading in his History of Animals in the fourth century BCE. He believed the hand’s lines were not random and that each line on the human hand had its own purpose. So, what do these lines and shapes say anyways? They can tell you things to look forward to in your future and they can tell you about love, money, personality, and some of the events you have to look forward to. It is also believed they can tell you if you will have more good or bad luck and things about relationships.
Your Personality
The shape of your hand itself is a good indicator of whether you are more outgoing or shy. It can also tell if you are a leader or if you are more of a follower. Your hand shape can indicate how artistic you are, and it can show whether you are good at creating things with your hands and doing things like gardening or not. Triangles typically give added strength to the area of the palm they correspond with. A large triangle in the center of your palm indicates a successful career and good income. If a triangle is under the ring finger, that is the area called the Apollo Mount, and a triangle there means you are skilled at your craft and can handle fame and community recognition well. Breaks in your lines can indicate pauses, and forks mean different things depending on how they move away from the main line.
